Christian Danella
Christian enjoys a reputation for providing an optimal blend of strategic counsel and results-driven tactical execution. With nearly two decades of agency and corporate public relations experience, Christian launched her public relations career at agency heavyweights Cunningham Communication and Benjamin Group/BSMG Worldwide where, from 1992-1996, she supported and managed public relations programs for a diverse range of technology companies, including Cheyenne Software, Informix, Novell and QUALCOMM. In 1994, Christian helped launch Cunningham's emerging technology practice, Communication Components by Cunningham.
From 1996 to 1998, as an account supervisor at Waggener Edstrom, Christian led the public relations efforts for Microsoft’s Developer Tools Division and the launch of Microsoft's Visual Studio. In 1998, Christian rejoined Benjamin Group/BSMG Worldwide as vice president and directed public relations efforts for Borland, QUALCOMM’s Consumer Products Division and Wireless Knowledge. In 2000, she orchestrated the pre- and post-IPO public relations activities for Benjamin Group/BSMG Worldwide client Nuance Communications, securing hundreds of broadcast, business and trade media placements. Before co-founding Prequent in 2002, Christian managed corporate communications for Tellme Networks.
Christian graduated with a degree in fine arts from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1989 and completed graduate work at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
Brian Danella
Brian has worked with technology companies for nearly 15 years. Prior to co-founding Prequent in 2002, Brian was an intellectual property and technology licensing lawyer, both at large law firms, including Wilson Sonsini, and as the general counsel of Nuance Communications, a publicly traded software company.
Brian graduated with a degree in computer science from Princeton University in 1991 and received a J.D. with a concentration in Law, Technology and Management from Syracuse University in 1994.
Brian is also a Venture Partner at DFJ Frontier, an early-stage venture capital firm, and a guest lecturer at the University of California, Davis, Graduate School of Management.
